The Villa at Okonjima is used to hosting special guests but recently it has been graced with a number of local celebrities. In September the main deck provided shade for a cheetah coalition enjoying a fresh kudu breakfast.

Last week the resident wild dogs made their debut appearance to investigate the thriving waterhole and Villa. The Villa is the only property at Okonjima to be located inside the new reserve and as a result has enjoyed the lions share of pool side predator sightings.

The reserve staff at Okonjima also set remote camera traps to monitor general wildlife and the results are a fascinating insight into the species diversity found in central Namibia.
