Etosha Rains
Etosha National Park and Mushara
Mushara Outpost enjoyed 53 mm of rain this week which couldn’t fall fast enough for the parched herds in the eastern park. The well fed predators in Etosha have had to sharpen their game a little as their prey finally has access to water away from the primary water holes.
Marc Pampe, owner of The Mushara Collection, is making sure his guides are as primed as the welcome rain clouds by sending two of Mushara’s senior guides to train with animal behaviour expert Dr Richard Estes in Etosha. This is a fantastic opportunity to study in environmental context with a master. Mushara’s guests will benefit from the extra insight this provides the field staff.
