It’s not every day that the skies above Namibia play host to some of the world’s most accomplished aerial athletes – but recently, Gmundner Lodge became the stage for exactly that.
The Gmundner team were treated to a spectacular sight when members of the Red Bull Skydive Team arrived at the lodge as part of their journey to the renowned Red Bull Aerial Performance Camp in Bitterwasser. The team – including skydivers Marco Valkenspiel, Max Mano and Marco Fürst – stopped at Gmundner to complete a series of helicopter jumps over the reserve, turning the vast Namibian skies into their playground.

The nearby Red Bull Aerial Performance Camp in Bitterwasser is a gathering point for aerial athletes from around the world – including skydivers, paragliders and other flight specialists – who come together to train, collaborate and push the boundaries of their disciplines.
