Because Quality needs to be constantly improved

Feb 18, 2023 | Villa Margherita

At Villa Margherita, we strive to continually get better and have just been closed between the 8th and the 22nd of February 2023 to do some exciting new renovations and upgrades.

The main upgrades that have been done are to the outside, off-street parking – it will now be all fenced off, with electrical gates for guests’ convenience and enhanced security.

The majority of our guests are self-drive and the safety of their vehicles is hugely important to us, whilst parking in Swakopmund has always been a premium concern due to the allocation of space over decades.

The aesthetics of the new parking structures are very important and great care was taken to make sure that it fits within the overall feel of the property and that it is in line with the National Heritage Status of the building. All required planning permission has been obtained from the necessary authorities to ensure that the integrity of the buildings is maintained.

On top of this, some suites have now received block-out blinds to mask any outside street light, whilst others have now got brand new black-screeded floors, soft furnishings in certain rooms, and a modern feel to complement the contemporary and old-worldly charm.

The old gorgeous wooden floors have been sanded, resealed and varnished, some painting work and some general maintenance have been undertaken and of course, a super-duper spring clean including professional cleaning of the upholstery of all chairs and couches has also been completed.

We cannot wait to welcome returning and new guests so all can enjoy the upgrades and experience of Villa Margherita!
