The garden – a true passion

Where to eat in Windhoek? The Stellenbosch Restaurants – hospitality with heart
Another highlight of the Windhoek Luxury Suites is the direct access to the Stellenbosch Restaurants. Just a few steps away, guests immerse themselves in a stylish world of culinary delights. Since their opening in November 2010, Michael Smith has been the passionate General Manager. A self-proclaimed foodie with a love for good wine in a family-style atmosphere, he has shaped the unique philosophy of the restaurants. His approach is reflected in the warm, welcoming ambiance that makes dining here so special.
What’s new?
The Stellenbosch family includes the Stellenbosch Wine Bar and the Stellenbosch Tasting Room. About 18 months ago, the Donkiesbaai Seafood & Sushi Restaurant joined, adding a fresh, coastal flair with excellent seafood and extravagant sushi creations. Whether international day visitor, business traveler, or loyal local guest – everyone is made to feel welcome.

Friends, not just guests
At Stellenbosch, every guest becomes part of the family. Michael shares a favorite story: In 2013, a couple had their very first date at Table 34 in the Wine Bar. Four years later, just before their wedding, they came back. Michael and his team reserved the same table – and even brought out the exact same Stellenbosch Reserve Vanderstel wine they had enjoyed that first evening. Today, the couple visits regularly with their two children – a beautiful example of how genuine hospitality turns visitors into lifelong friends.
A symbiosis with heart
The Windhoek Luxury Suites and Stellenbosch Restaurants show how two teams can work in perfect harmony under one philosophy. Whether receptionist, general manager, gardener, waiter, or chef – everyone pulls together. The motto “Luxury lives in the finer details” is reflected in countless small gestures from the entire team.

Why return again and again?
The Windhoek Luxury Suites and Stellenbosch Restaurants are not only the perfect beginning or ending to a Namibian adventure – they are a place you’ll always want to come back to. Home away from home, with friends.
